There are no best practices, only practice

Executives ask us for the playbook. The one other companies used to become AI-native. We don’t have it, and neither does anyone selling it.

A best practice is a pattern that held still long enough to be named. It needs a stable world — the same tools, the same constraints, the same shape of problem, repeated often enough that someone could average across the attempts and write down what worked. That world isn’t the one you’re operating in.

The ground is moving too fast for the averaging to finish. By the time a practice could be validated across enough companies to earn the word best, the capability it was built around has already changed underneath it. What’s left for sale is last year’s answer, confidently formatted.

So we don’t bring a playbook. We practice alongside you.

That’s not a hedge. It’s the only honest posture when the work is genuinely new. We start in your actual work — a real process, a real bottleneck — and we try something. It teaches us the next thing to try. The plan reveals itself by doing, not in advance.

This is slower to promise and faster to deliver. There’s no discovery phase that produces a deck. The first session produces a change. You can feel whether it’s right, because it’s running in your own environment, on your own problem, by the end of the day.

People worry that no best practices means no rigor. It’s the opposite. Practice is more disciplined than a playbook, because it can’t hide behind having worked somewhere else. Every move has to earn its place here, now, in front of you.

When it works, you won’t reach for the word best practice anyway. You’ll just say: of course. That’s how we do it now.
